St George Tavern

This is a busy local pub on a friday afternoon just around the corner from Victoria Station on a Friday afternoon. When you try to enter it is already filled outside with the ones getting “fresh air”. You elbow yourself inside and you get in and it still as busy inside.

The bar is wonderful. This is where you want to drink. English bars are wonderful at this. You have high tables you can sit at, and big areas where you can meet other people. But the wallpaper is not all that. However, the chandeliers are wonderful.

St GeorgeSt. George Tavern is named after one
of the most prominent military saints.
His Memorial is celebrated on 23 April .

There is the drinking area, eating area, and the wine cellar. What more do you want?

The clientele is half young, half old and professionals from the area.. A nice place to drink.:-)

Today’s Beer Quote:
“Sometimes when I reflect back on all the beer I drink I feel ashamed – Then I look into the glass and think about the workers in the brewery and all of their hopes and dreams. If I didn’t drink this beer, they might be out of work and their dreams would be shattered. Then I say to myself, ‘It is better that I drink this beer and let their dreams come true than be selfish and worry about my liver.'”
Deep Thought, Jack Handy
