Song dedicated to this pub, Flash Gordon – master of the univers

Outside the Tourist track around Victoria station lies this “old bank turned pub.” This turn of history clearly shows on the façade and interior. The façade is grand, and you would not think it is a pub. When you come in, wow…. I thought flash Gordon was here. The lights are turned all the way up. But it seemed actually nice to be able to see, but this is not something I am used to.

The room is grandiose. Very high ceiling, amazing chandelier, deep red color on the wall, and fake marble columns. The bar is huge.

But how ‘bout those lights. This the lightest pub I have ever been to. I said in the “stage door review”, it was good with a light pub, because it helped with the beer goggles, but come on! You still want some illusions! The bar is crowded with people a little over the average age, so glasses would be welcome!

The place is very nice, too nice – everything is new and it lacks the patina of other places and X-factor.

Todays Normism:
“What would you say to a nice beer, Normie?”
“Going down?”
