You can find this old gem of a old ”værthus” or pub on Christianshavn. It has tried to get a Parisian touch – but did they succeed? To me it is more like a “danch” pub. The French is in the mirrors with some French motives. Otherwise it is a full blooded Danish Værtshus at its best.
The guests are a good mix of all ages and backgrounds, something that creates a positive atmosphere. The positive servants contribute to this. Whatever happens, they are only positive. The prices for the bottles of beer and drinks are reasonable, but we do miss some beer on tap!
As the evening drags out, it is difficult to see if it is the room that is a little high in the end, or if it is myself. (Maybe just something in the air from nearby Christiania?) Well after some more research we come to see that it is the room, and it is charming. They do not have any yellow curtains, but the tricolore is Blue, Yellow and Red!
This is of course a place for a smokers vacation. You can find their homepage here.
