Just across from Park Café lays this South African pub. What makes it South African? A big flag painted on the walls – painted logo of the World Cup logo and the presidents since 1989. Beside this there is Betty Boop, and different beer labels that decorates the walls. On the net, it says Magrath’s is Irish – go figure!
The bare is big and beautiful – painted as a Zebra. You see all the beer taps, and think you are in Sweden! But it is only beers from the monopoly. It is not so strange since the monopoly team, plays the matches in the National Arena close by. I am here just before a Champions Leauge match, and there are some white jerseys here. The room is long and Narrow, and it is easy to come in contact with others. It is actually some British styles large mingle areas without tables! Me like!
The atmosphere is good. There is also happy hour! 2 Pints for 42 DKK – I think that is reasonable. You find their homepage here.
Today’s Beer Quote:
“Make sure that the beer – four pints a week – goes to the troops under fire before any of the parties in the rear get a drop.”
-Winston Churchill to his Secretary of War, 1944
