This is a pub one of the ones we stumbled upon, not one we had researched in before. The ladies were shopping in Oxford Street, and the men got increasingly thirsty and went for a pub hunt. We find this elegant place.
You can see in the streets that you are in a rich and opulent area, and this Pub resembles that. Dark wooden paneling, crystal chandeliers, booths in red chesterfields, a long solid dark wood bar, is it a gentlemen’s club or a pub? There is also a “lounge” beside the pub room with good leather furniture. The deep red ceiling just finishes the classy touch.
There is a good selection of beers on hand pumps, as well some European classics on tap.
The guests are a lot of tourists (Michelle Obama and the kids dined here) and business men. In my opinion it lacks some atmosphere and x-factor. But as a man’s shopping refuge is it as an excellent place.
Today’s Beer Quote:
“The problem with the world is that everyone is a few drinks behind.”
