The Bridgewater English Pub – 3 Curtains

Dorsk Flag duoPå Dorsk

This is an English Pub in Århus that lives up to our illusion of what English Pubs should be like.  The illusion is well done!

They have the special English pub ceiling, a long bar in dark wood. Booths in various sizes. The room is separated in a good way. One seated area with the booths, and separated by the standing area in bar, by dark wood. There is green wallpaper and a false bookshelf behind the dance floor. You can find a second room behind the first.

The place is big and popular, especially Thursday, Friday and Saturday. All age groups are represented. This creates a good atmosphere.

The beer is from Ceres brewery, without an impressive selection.

Since they call themselves an English pub, we judge them to 3 curtains, as it would have gotten if it was situated in England.

It lays directly on the river in Århus, and there is plenty of room outside. You find their homepage here.

Today’s Normism
“What would you say to a beer, Normie?”
“Daddy wuvs you.”
