This has to be the pearl of Aarhus. A wonderful place, hidden away in an alley, a little away from the famous “Åen”.
You enter and there is an impressing selection of beers and whiskeys. First I believed I was in Sweden when I counted 18 different draft beers. Some are standard and some are “guest beers”. One of the best selections I have seen in Denmark. They also have good variation of Whisky.
The bar is L-shaped and filled with X-Factor. Big windows, solid dark wood pillars in the roof, and the wall decorated with English standards as umbrellas and bowlers. It is a lot of patina and charm here. You can sit inside or outside. I missed the toilet at my first try, it said “private” on the door, but then again, what is more private than that visit?
It is filled with people in good spirits, and the service is good. There is live jazz every Sunday.
Absolutely a place to visit! You find their English homepage here.
Today’s Beer Quote:
“You can’t be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline – it helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a beer.”
